About Amegle

What is Amegle?

Amegle is a lightweight real-time chat site that randomly pairs you with another user for a conversation. You can choose to chat via text or switch to video when you're comfortable. No account is required. Our focus is to provide a safe, respectful, and easy-to-use environment.

Our principles

• Privacy by default — we minimize data collection and don't store chat content by default.
• Clear rules — we prohibit nudity, explicit content, harassment, hate speech, spam, and illegal activities.
• User control — you can end a chat at any time, and you can report abuse from within the app.
• Transparency — our Privacy Policy and Terms explain how the service works and what is allowed.

How matching works

When you click Start, our backend places you in a queue and pairs you with another available user. The session is ephemeral. If you choose video chat, live media is routed using a real-time infrastructure and isn't stored by default.

Moderation

We combine automated signals and user reports to act on rule-breaking behavior. Repeated or severe violations may result in temporary or permanent bans. See our Community Guidelines for details.
